Early Sunday morning, in the arms of her Mother and in the presence of her Dad and Oma, our little angel Kelsey Nicole was welcomed home to Jesus! While we all dearly miss her with broken hearts, we are so comforted with knowing that Kelsey is in the perfect place, free of pain and suffering, full of joy and peace! Kelsey will be forever frozen in time as our perfect little girl.

Kelsey had a great faith in God, and the Holy Spirit shined brightly in her! She always had a smile on her face and in her eyes! She was so very kind and loving to others and to all animals; she always followed the rules, always wore her bike helmet and seat belt. Kelsey loved school and loved to read, and in her last days on earth she began devouring books, learning of the great escape the adventures could provide. She was the best big sister ever to her little sister, Kiersten, and she adored her big brother, Mark, Jr.Kelsey Nicole Thorsen came to this earth at 11:47 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 1989 in Aurora, Colorado. Kelsey left this earth for heaven at 2:02 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, 1996 in Primary Children's Medical Center, due to complications from her treatment for leukemia.

She is dearly loved and missed by her Mom and Dad, Gigi and Mark Thorsen; her little sister, Kiersten, her Oma and Grandpa, Lisa and Jack Holmes, Hooper; her big brother and sister, Mark Jr. and Michelle, Ogden; her Grandma and Grandpa Mary and Roger Thorsen, Naples, Florida; aunts, uncles and cousins of Naples, Florida; great-Oma Frieda Silinski of Bad Pyrmont, Germany; great aunts, uncles and cousins of Germany; great-grandmother, Ellen Holmes and great aunts and uncles of Nebraska.

Thank you to the Hematology-Oncology team in its entirety for all your dedicated, loving care of Kelsey, especially her nurses, Darcy, Dyan and Rajaleh, Dr. Carroll, Ken Hicken and all the wonderful play people in Child Life!

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the Child Life Department at Primary Children's.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine!
You make me happy, when skies are gray!
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you,
Please don't take my sunsine away.
