This is a letter to Mary (Gorton) from (her father)
Pleasant Taylor.

Mary I have ordered a monument to be put up at your mother's grave and Peds grave. Do you know what day of the month in December Ped died in and what year if you
recollect you was in Guthry County at the time and you and Ed was married a short time afterwards. Do your recollect what month and day your Mother's birthday (was in)? I want to get all as near correct as possible give me what information you can and write soon as you get this for the are waiting to finish the monument up.

I ordered of your agent this spring to be put up at 2 graves. I will give you their names and ages and dates.
Jane Allison Wife of Pleasant Taylor was born April 9, 1902 (?)
and died June the 19th 1868.

Pleasant M. (?) Taylor My son was born October the 12th 1828 and died December the 24th 1853.
