LIZZIE BLUME DIES
Miss Lizzie Blume, 86, died late Friday evening at the Bartels Home, Waverly, where she had resided the last five years. Prior to that she had been a lifetime Sumner resident.
Funeral services were Monday afternoon at 2 in St. John Lutheran American church with burial in Union Mound Cemetery. Rev. John Mohr officiated.
The daughter of William and Minnie Fritz Blume. She was born May 26, 1876, in Maxfield township near Tripoli. She moved to Sumner with her parents when a small child.
Survivors are five sisters, Mrs. H.H. Tietje, Sumner; Mrs. Minnie Koschmeder and Mrs. Mary Brockmann, Tripoli; Mrs. Arthur Diekmann, Ionia; and Mrs. Oran Kaiser, Waterloo; two brothers, August and Charles, Sumner.
She was preceded by two brothers, William and Henry.
