Homemaker, lifelong Fountain resident. Survived by a son, Will; and two daughters, Mary Jo Townsend and Ellen Schubarth. Visitation, 9 a.m., with service to follow at 10 a.m. Friday, Dove-Witt Family Mortuary. Burial, Evergreen Cemetery.

Mary J. Eaton, 89, of Fountain passed away on December 21, 2007 with her loving family by her side. She was born April 19, 1918 on Pinello Ranch in the Fountain Valley to Alphonso and Blanche (Venetucci) Pinello. In February 1937, she married the love of her life, William "Buck" Eaton. Mary is survived by her sister, Fannie Peck; brother, Harry Pinello; daughters, Mary Jo Townsend and Ellen Schubarth; son, Will Eaton; four grand children and nine great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, "Buck" who passed away in August 1985; her parents; daughter,Carolyn Kuhns; sister, Jenny Chase; brothers, Louie, Lee, Ben, Tom, Tony and Nick Pinello; and four grandsons.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 9AM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain. Funeral services will follow at 10AM at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel with burial at Evergreen Cemetery at 11:30.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Fountain Fire Department, Station #2, Fountain Mesa Road, Fountain, CO 80817. Mary was not only a homemaker but a town maker. She and Fannie started the Brick Oven Bakery together and people came from miles for their bread. She gave of herself and her heart. In 2004, Mary was awarded a Lifetime Residence of the Fountain Valley plaque by the Fountain Valley Historical Society. Mary will live on through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is heaven bound.
