Civil war records: Ransom Lafayette Beddingfield served in the Union army in 16th Missouri Calvary, company E (also known as 6th Missouri Regiment of Enrolled Militia). This unit was organized at Springfield, Missouri, November 1, 1863 and served in Missouri and Kansas until July, 1865, after the end of the civil war.
