Mr. Proctor was born January 10, 1909, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Amherst College and the Kansas City School of Law. He served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel (Ret.) and was appointed Assistant United States Attorney in 1953. He was the last charter member of Wornall Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn F. Proctor. Survivors include two daughters, Virginia P. Young and Janet S. Waller; a son, David M. Proctor III; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Jenks; and nieces and nephews.
