Daughter of Dr. Austin Martin & Annie Fears (FANNIN) WALKER - several of their children had the middle name Fannin.

Mary Jane Galer's "COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866" (2000), p. 290, shows:
Dr. WALKER's child died aged 8 years of typhoid fever; interred 14 NOV 1864 as a non-resident (from "October 1 to December 31, 1864, report of the Sexton for the quarter," dated 14 JAN 1865). [Probably died as a resident of Harris County, Georgia.]

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood (compiled from the office card index file) shows: Mary Fannin WALKER, born 08 MAR 1858, died 11 NOV 1864, aged 6 years; buried in Section 2, Lot 1010 - remarks: copied from grave monument.
