Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker. She attended Crowder College as a student of weaving, and as an instructor. She was a member of Goodman Baptist Church, and was pianist at McNatt Baptist and Fellowship Baptist for more than 30 years.
Meta married Archie H. Campbell, October 25, 1936. He preceded her in death April 7, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Campbell; his wife, Jean, survives, along with two daughters & sons-in-law, Gail and Joe Williams, Goodman and Carol and Dix Varley, Becker, Minn; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; a brother, David Bross, Rockford, IL; and two sisters, Casiena Fones, Anderson, and Frances Cassidy, Palmyra.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 1:30 p.m., at Clark Chapel of Memories, with Dr. Jerry Seigel officiating. Burial will follow at Howard Cemetery, Goodman. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Williams, Zeb Williams, Joel Williams, Dix Varley, Sean Varley, and Doug Varley.
