OBITUARY: The Manti Messenger, Thursday 4 November 1909:
James C. Livingston, Sr. died Oct. 17, 1909 and was buried October 21st. Funeral services were held in the Fountain Green meeting house, at 2 p.m. Patriarch John Smith and President A. H. Lund attended the services and were the principal speakers. Bishop Wm. D. K? of Sandy and Bishop James A. Muir of Granite also attended and spoke at the services.
James C. Livingston was born in Scotland 76 years ago, joined the Mormon church in 1849, and came to Utah in the early 50's, lived in Salt Lake City, and Granite until about 20 years ago when he moved to Fountain Green and built a home two miles south of here, where he has lived since. He was a patriarch in the North Sanpete Stake at the time of his death.
