Verna Mae Snavely, 77, of 312 North Barbara Street, Mount Joy, PA, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009, at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Verna was born in Rapho Township, a daughter of the late Monroe and Martha Brubaker Snavely.

She was a member of the Elizabethtown United Zion Church since 1944. She sang in the chorus and was church secretary for over 30 years. Verna was a member of the United Zion Home Auxiliary, the Brickerville Leisure Hour and the Mount Joy Leisure Hour.

She retired from Donegal Industries in 1998 after 31 years.

Her hobbies were doing puzzles, paint-by-number pictures, latch hook, and going on bus trips.

Verna is survived by a brother, Lester, of Lititz, and several nephews and a niece.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Elizabethtown United Zion Church, 408 E. Park St., Elizabethtown, PA, on Friday, March 13, 2009, at 2:00 PM, with a viewing from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial in the Erismans Mennonite Cemetery.
