RICHFORD Laura D. Ives, age 76, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Philipsburg, Quebec Canada, Feb. 10, 1930, the daughter of the late Arthur and Adele (Lariviere) Dumouchel.
Prior to her retirement, Laura was employed at several restaurants in St. Albans and Richford as a bilingual waitress and later for Peerless Clothing as a seamstress.
Laura will be long remembered and sadly missed by her family, which includes eight children and their spouses, Ronald Ives of Keene, N.H., Linda Garrett of Swanton, Thomas Ives of St. Albans, Steven and Tina Ives of Sheldon, Diana and Terry Pilon of Franklin, Randy Ives of Swanton, Brian Ives of Richford, and Bonnie and Robin Wood of Milton; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Lionel Dumouchel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford. Interment will follow in the family lot St. Albans Bay Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home in Richford.
