Mary Dill was born in Medford, Middlesex, Connecticut, on October 25, 1706, to Thomas Dill Sr. and Mary Pierce Dill. Mary married 1. Thomas Tufts on September 4, 1729, in Medford. No children of that marriage have been found. Mary married 2. Ephriam Fellows (1715-1803) on November 10, 1737, in Plainfield, Windham, Connecticut. They had at least 3 children: David (1738-1779), Mary (1740-1774), Obil (1742-1809). Sons David and Obil served in the Revolutionary War - Northern Campaign. They were both captured at the Battle of the Cedars and taken to Canada. Obil, serving as a private, was released and returned to Canaan. David, serving as an officer, was held and badly treated by the Indians. He was later exchanged or escaped and reengaged in Hazen's Regiment and died in "winter quarters" at Fishkill, NY - buried in an unmarked grave. Mary died in Canaan Litchfield, Connecticut on December 17, 1745.
