Effie "Irene" Reeves, 85, of Springdale, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born on May 23, 1923 in Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of the late Frank and Martha Delaney Whittle Rizley. Mrs. Irene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing the guitar and dancing. She was known as the "Best Cook" in the world by her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Henderson Reeves; two sons, Frankie Theodore Macy; Jimmy Carl Macy; one daughter, Wanda Sue Macy-Smith; three brothers, Ray Hufford; Carl Rizley; Lawrence Rizley; and two sisters, Susan Beatrice Holman; Mary Francis Ellenberger-Turner.

Survivors include five sons, Chuck Macy of Marrow, AR; Jackie Macy of Hawaii; William Daryl Reeves of Seligman, MO; Bobby Eugene Reeves of Springdale, AR; Tommy Francis Reeves of Defumiak Springs, Florida; four daughters, Jona L. Gorman of Waxahachie, Texas; Lula Blanche Eldredge of Springdale, AR; Sharin K. Macy-Harrison of Springdale, AR; Willene Ross O'Donnell of Springdale, AR; two sisters, Leona Lane of Springdale, AR; Lorene Beth of Hoodriver, Oregon; 38 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She married 1st Jack Roy Laswell Feb. 10, 1939 Washington Co. AR. they divorced and she married 2nd Theodore Macy March 13, 1941 Washington Co. AR. she married 3rd
