Cora P. Hicks, 90, of Union City, formerly of Greenville, Ohio passed away Monday evening, March 2, 2009 at the Union City Care Center. She was born in Bath County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Catherine (Norris) Timmons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Mack Hicks, a son, Harvey Hicks and four brothers and three sisters.

Cora is survived by her children, Jack L. (Trenna) Hicks of Greenville, and Mary M. (Richard) Prescott of Leesburg, IN; daughter-in-law, Barb Hicks of Greenville; sisters, Bonnie Cox and Helen Overbay both of West Milton, and Ruby Campbell of Geneva, IN; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Mike Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Fort Jefferson.

There will be no public visitation. The family requests that donations be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
