Ivie Anderson Nielson Gilbert, 93, passed away on March 9, 2009 in Richfield.

She was born September 10, 1915 in Monroe to John William and Hannah Isabelle Hunt Anderson.

She married Juel C. Nielson; he preceded her in death. She married Harry V. Gilbert; he preceded her in death.

Ivie was active in the LDS Church, serving twice as a ward Relief Society president and a mission to Cove Fort. She loved being a stay at home mom.

Survivors include: children, Joan (Clark S.) Gleave, David J. (Sally) Nielson and John Stephen (Paula) Nielson; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Loweda Nielson. Preceded in death by: parents; an infant son, James; siblings, Alton, Bardell, John William Jr., Blanche, Ruth, and Rulon; son-in-law, Harold Reed Shaw.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aurora Second Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 and again on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30.
Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
