Mr. Plant was born December 2, 1877 in Arkansas. He had worked as a farm and ranch laborer before his retirement, and lived 15 years in Bandera before moving to Kerrville some 33 years ago.
Pallbearers were Gorum Gray, Claude Gray, John Lackey, Sam Lackey, August Hemen and Kenneth Ray.
Survivors include eight children: Mrs. C. C. Chipman of Kerrville, Mrs. Buster Lackey of Kerrville, Miss Lela Plant of Houston, Mrs. Ollie Crider of Odessa, Mrs. Alf Burleson of Kerrville, Aaron Plant of Llano, Lester Plant of Kerrville and Wesley Plant of Kerrville. Eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also mourn the passing of this good man.
