Elsie Bertha Honig, daughter of Herman and Pauline Honig, was born on May 21, 1904, at Wheaton, Kansas. Here she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
She was married to John Marten on June 17, 1925.
After a long and lingering illness, she died last Saturday morning at 2:30 o'clock at the age of 38 years, 6 months, and 22 days.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband; three children, Mervin, Dorothy, and Donna; her aged mother, Mrs. Pauline Honig, Wheaton; three sisters, Mrs. Wm Fehlhaber, of Liberty Nebr., Mrs. Frank Marten, of Wheaton and Mrs. E. T. Marten of Frankfort; four brothers, Frank, Carl and Otto Honig of Wheaton, and Rev. Walter Honig of Stornoway, Saskatchewan, Canada, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment was made in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Duluth on December 15th, the Rev. R. Hildebrandt officiating.
