She married Charles Ulyses Arnold in Brookings Co., SD on 21 Jul 1895. They had the following children: James Dewey, Loie C., Alice Mae, Franklin Alexander, and Grandville Arnold. Her husband beat her, even when she was pregnant and her children. She divorced Charles on 2 Feb 1811 in Brookings, SD. She never remarried.
She moved with her children to Chicago, IL around 1920. They lived in a boarding house where she was housekeeper. The family had little money to live on. She died in Chicago on the 8 Mar 1936 at Cook Co. Hospital. She is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Niles Center, IL.
