Funeral for Brittany Ann Maxwell, 17, of Somerville will be Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John White, Pastor of Decatur Christian Fellowship, officiating, and Vandon Windsor assisting.

Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brittany died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006. She was a senior at Brewer High School, and was a member of the Color Guard of the Brewer High School Band in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades. She was a true testament of her beliefs. Brittany was involved in Youth for Christ and was co-founder of The Way, a prayer group at school, in her junior year. She was a bold and courageous witness of God to those around her. She was interested in missionary work and photography. Brittany will always be remembered for her love of music and her free spirit.

Survivors include her mother, Montine Maxwell; father and stepmother, Kenneth and Anena Maxwell, all of Somerville; one sister, Nicole Maxwell of Somerville; one stepbrother, Thomas Cooper of Hartselle; and grandparents, Harold and Mary Johnson, and Wayne and Elizabeth Maxwell, all of Somerville.

Pallbearers will be John Muse, Lee Cobb, Jonathan Osgood, David Pitman, Thomas Cooper and Caleb Holoman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA), P.O. Box 247, Winter Park, FL. 32789.
