Marcelle, of Anahuac, passed away at Arboretum of Winnie Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Spurger, she had lived in Jasper since 1963 before moving to Anahuac in 1995.

Survivors include her son, Earnest Edwin Morton, daughters, Lynda Marie Morgan, Annette Lauber Neel, and Charlotte Jean Matthews, one brother, six sisters, eighteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty eight years, Edwin Ernest Morton, two brothers and two sisters.
