John Alma Green, 81, passed away February 16, 1997, due to a stroke.

He was born Sept. 1, 1915 in Grace, Idaho, the son of Mark LeRoy Green and Mary Elizabeth Williams. The family later moved to Kaysville, Utah. On Sept. 29, 1938 he married Elaine Oborn. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived for many years in Ogden. In 1968, they were divorced and he later married Elain Brannen, who preceded him in death in 1978. He worked as a farmer, a switchman on the railroad and a plastering contractor.

He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Cavanaugh and Myrna Bills, both of CA; two children, John Stanley Green, Pitsburg, CA; Claudia Remington, Murray, UT; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Thursday, February 20, 1 p.m. at the Murray 19th Ward, 100 West 6100 South. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Heritage Funeral Services, West Valley City, Utah.
