The funeral service for Billy Joe McKenzie of Henry was planned at 3 p.m. today at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie. Burial was to follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie.
Visitation was Sunday and today.
McKenzie, 77, died Friday, March 6, 2009, in Henry.
Born Oct. 22, 1931, he was a son of the late Lon McKenzie Sr. and Janie Whitehead Lloyd.
He leaves two nieces: Paula Cambrien of Arizona and Darlene McCartney of Anaheim, Calif.; two nephews: Lonnie McKenzie of Memphis and Darrell McKenzie of Como, MS; a special friend and caretaker: Pat Baker; and two other special friends: Terry and Brenda Townes.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers: Bubbie Lee McKenzie and Lon McKenzie Jr.; and a sister: Betty Bonner.
