Born in Westfield he grew up in Southwick where he was a resident for 52 years before moving to Westfield.
He was a retired Tax examiner of the MA Dept of Revenue for 20 years retiring in 1996. He graduated from AIC and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. He was also a charter member of the Sons of Erin.
Daniel was the husband of the late Mary F (Burke) Keenan who died in 1997.
He leaves two sons, State Representative Daniel F. Keenan, Jr. of Southwick and John J. Keenan of Pittsfield; a brother Dr. Joseph P. Keenan and three sisters, Rose-Ellen Sweeney, Ann Keenan and Atty. Mary J. Keenan.
He leaves his loving grandchildren, Jack, Matthew, Sean, Mary and Ryan Keenan.
