Dr. Eldin W. Boggess, passed away Feb. 4, 1997, in a Salt Lake hospital.

Born April 11, 1912, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Elmo E. and Marion Larsen Boggess.

Attended local schools, graduate of Jordan High School, graduated from the U of U in 1934 and from the University Medical School in Louisville, KY in 1939. Married Clarice Roberts on May 27, 1939. Served four years in the Army Medical Corps and discharged as a Major. Was first Chief of Staff at Cottonwood Hospital.

Survived by wife; daughter, Bonnie (Ken) Tripp, son, Bruce (Colleen) Boggess; four grandchildren: Kristi Fosbinder, Kirk Tripp, Elizabeth Boggess and James Boggess; one great-granddaughter, Blair Fosbinder; two brothers, Dr. Jack (Darlene) Boggess and Reid (Marilyn) Boggess, a sister, Beth Turner. Preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Tripp.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 8th, 3:30 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 So. Vine St. Funeral directors: Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cottonwood Hospital Foundation.
