Judith Waguespack Landry, 95, a native of Cane Brake Plantation in Grand Caillou and a resident of Houma, died Monday, May 7, 2001.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bayou Black. The Rev. Gerald Hayes will officiate.

She is survived by three children, Virginia L. Daigle of Houma, George M. Landry Jr. of Gray, and Ann L. Campbell of New Orleans; 20 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. "Jack" Landry; her parents, Justine Watkins and Joseph Abel Waguespack; two daughters, Jacqueline L. Guidroz and Lynn L. Hillburn; and four brothers, Joseph, Jacques, Louis and Felix Waguespack.

She was a graduate of Heights High School in Houston, Texas, and a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans. She was a career math teacher in Terrebonne and St. Bernard Parishes and taught at Houma Central, Houma Junior High and St. Gregory. She was active in the community, an avid bridge player and a frequent
traveler.
