Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Margaret Helen Ottley McCloy, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on January 5, 1997.


Born January 6, 1919 in Magna, Utah to David Frank and Margaretha Ann Thompson Ottley.


Married James Saville McCloy on June 25, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.


Was an active member of the Little Cottonwood Sixth Ward, serving in many callings of the church.


Graduated from Cyprus High School and U of U. Served an LDS mission in Eastern States. Served her country in the US Navy (Waves) during World War II. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and was a good friend and sister to all. She will be greatly missed.


Survived by a daughter and four sons, Deloris Stpierre; Michael (Lynn) McCloy; Joseph McCloy; Kelly (Robyn) McCloy; Collin (Jan) McCloy; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Thirza (Hardy) Jenkinson; Coravine (Archy) Sawyer; brother, John (Ella) Ottley. Preceded in death by parents, husband and son, Marty.


Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 1997 at 12 Noon in the Little Cottonwood Sixth Ward Chapel, 6410 South 725 East. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, and on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
