LAST RITES FOR MRS. ZILCH

Funeral services for Mrs. Conrad Zilch, 48, were held yesterday afternoon from the Zilch Funeral Home with Rev. A. M. Rickel, pastor of the First Evangelical church, and Rev. W. A. Tabbert, Lindsay, Ohio, former pastor, officiating. Burial was in Brownhelm cemetery.
Mrs. Zilch's death was sudden. She had been apparently in good health, and in the morning had attended services at the First Evangelical church. During the day she made no complaint, but suddenly at about 9:30 Sunday evening she suffered a stroke. She was taken immediately to the Amherst hospital where she died in less than an hour later.
Hundreds of friends and admirers paid their last respects to Mrs. Zilch at the funeral services Wednesday afternoon. The funeral home was crowded to capacity, with many people allowed only to pass before her casket because of a lack of room to accomodate them.
Rev. A. M. Rickel spoke highly of her character. "In the morning she worshiped at the House of her Fathers. In the afternoon she attended to the comforts of her family, and in the night she passed away. Had she known in advance that January 6th was to be her last day here she could not have improved upon her life," he said.
Mrs. Zilch was born in Lorain, but has lived in Amherst for the past 21 years. In Lorain she was a member of the Church of Christ, but after coming to Amherst she affiliated with the First Evangelical church. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid and Missionary societies.
She is survived by husband Conrad Zilch, and a daughter, Mildred. Also surviving, are a sister, Mrs. Ben Zilch, four uncles, and several nephews and nieces.
