Notes: Rev. Henry A. Stick. The Rev. Henry A. Stick spent 36 years in Africa, where he was a Congregationalist minister serving Zulu tribesmen. He also was head of a mission field theological school. Rev. Stick was born in Brownhelm Twp., graduated from Brownhelm High School and Oberlin College, and received his theological training at the Oberlin School of Theology. He went to Africa in 1912. Rev. Stick returned to the U. S. in 1948. Until ill health forced his retirement three years ago, he had been pastor since 1953 of the South Amherst Congregational Church. Rev. Stick died Monday in his home, 114 Vivian St., South Amherst. His funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p. m. in Brownhelm Christian Church, Brownhelm. Friends may call tonight at the Garland Funeral Home in Amherst. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Hasenpflug Stick; a daughter, Mrs. Fred E. Christian; three sisters, and three grandchildren.
