Frederick William Schnaak was the son of Fred Schnaak and Minnie Streicher.

He married Margaret S. Bruce on 29 Jun 1929 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Parsonage in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Henry Abram.
