EDWARD H. SCHAFER

Edward H. Schafer, 72, of 416 Third St., retired guard for the Nordson Corp., Amherst, died yesterday at 7:30 p.m. at Lorain Convalescent Home after an illness of four years.

Mr. Schafer was born in Brownhelm and had lived in Elyria 52 years. He was a member of Lake Avenue United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Erma, (nee Eschke); a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn M. Ayers, Forest Park, Ill., and a great-granddaughter.

Friends will be received tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Curtis-Scheuffler Funeral Home where the funeral service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Clawsing officiating. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery.
