VERMILION -- Patricia J. Reising, 75, of Vermilion, died Friday, May 25, 2007, at her home after an eight-month illness.
She was born July 18, 1931, in Vermilion, and had been a lifetime resident.
Ms. Reising worked as a teachers aide for the Vermilion Schools for 20 years. She was a member of United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion, where she was active in Marmaru and the Ada Circle. She was a member of the Lioness Club, volunteered at the food pantry, and enjoyed crafts, camping and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John L. Reising; sons Jon and Rudy, both of Vermilion; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Florence (nee Wittmer) Grote; brothers Raymond, Clarence, Gilbert, Charles and George Grote; sister, Anna May Grote; two stepbrothers, Edward and Jim; stepsister, Mary Sennhenn Fizco; and a grandson, Sean Alan Reising.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 990 State St., Vermilion.
