Marjory I. Heidrich
ELYRIA -- Marjory I. Heidrich (nee Williamson), 85, of Elyria, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006,at New Life Hospice Center Of St. Joseph,Lorain.
She was born March 18, 1921, in Elyria, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Elyria High School in 1939.
She graduated as a registered nurse in 1942 from the former M.B. Johnson School of Nursing at Elyria Memorial Hospital and received additional maternity training at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois Lying In Hospital. Mrs. Heidrich worked at Providence Hospital in Sandusky, Lake County Memorial Hospital in Painesville and EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria.
Mrs. Heidrich was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Elyria, and its Women's Circle, and was a former Sunday School teacher. She collected oil lamps.
Survivors include her sons William G. Heidrich of Lorain and John R. Heidrich of Grand Forks, N.D., stationed in Afghanistan; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle D. Heidrich, in 2003; son, James C. Heidrich; and her parents, George and Margaret Williamson.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. The Rev. Malcolm L. Peel, retired pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053; or First United Presbyterian Church, 200 East Ave., Elyria, OH 44035.
