DEATH NOTICES -- MRS. IRENE E. EHLERT --
A lifelong resident, Mrs. Irene E. Ehlert, 80, died Monday in Lorain Community Hospital following a long illness.
Born June 30, 1898 in Brownhelm Township, Mrs. Ehlert lived at 103 Brookside Drive.
She was formerly employed by U.S. Automatic Co. and had also been a dietetic assistant in Amherst Hospital, retiring in 1959. She was a member of Amherst St. Peter's United Church of Christ and was active on the former Amherst Eagles Drill Team.
Surviving are a son, Ervin C. of Amherst; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Betty E.) Lange of Amherst, Mrs. Paul (Lois) Brlas of Elyria and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Noble of Melrose, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ervin R., died in 1971.
Funeral services were Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Garland Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert A. Happel, pastor of St. Peter's Church, officiating.
Burial was in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
