ERVIN R. EHLERT, AMHERST NATIVE, DIES AT 75

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon for Ervin R. Ehlert, 75, of 969 Milan avenue, who died last Sunday afternoon in the Golden Acres Home after a long illness.

Mr. Ehlert was born May 10, 1896, in Amherst and had lived here all his life. He was a retired tool maker for the Perry Fay company of Elyria. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, the Stonington Masonic Lodge and the Amherst Eagles.

Surviving are his wife, Irene, to whom he had been married 53 years; a son, Ervin, of Amherst; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Lange of Amherst; Mrs. Paul (Lois) Brlas of Elyria and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Novle of Gaithersburg, Md; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Herman, John and William, all of Amherst; and two sisters, Rose Ehlert and Linda Ehlert, both of Amherst.

Services were held in the Garland Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert A. Happel officiating. Burial was in Brownhelm cemetery.
