Arthur P. Bruce, 85, of Amherst, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center following a brief illness.
Born in South Amherst, he was an Amherst resident most of his life.
Mr. Bruce was a retired shipping department supervisor of US Steel Corp (USX) Lorain.
He was a former member of AFL-CIO.
Survivors include a son, Milton A. of Bedford and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene M, Feb 6 1983; brothers, William, Chip, George and John; and sisters, Christine Abderhalden and Jenny Coubra.
