BRAUN-STANDEN NUPTIALS

AMHERST - The Parsonage of the Congregational church was the scene of a pretty ceremony at 2 p.m. Tuesday when Miss Norma Standen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Standen, Foster Park road, Brownhelm, became the bride of Alfred Braun, 514 Park avenue, Amherst. This also marked the 39th anniversary of the bride's parents. Rev. E. J. Sanderson officiated.
The bride was lovely in a blue jersey dress with white hat and blue veil and wore a corsage of pink roses. Her sister, Mrs. Walter Sterna, as matron of honor, wore navy blue with white accessories and red roses. Albert Braun twin brother of the bridegroom was best man.
A wedding reception was held in the Standen home. A three course chicken dinner was served to 50 relatives and friends by Mrs. Sterna, Mrs. Michael Smith, the Misses Dorothy Barris ad Betty Kesler. For their boat trip to Detroit, the bride wore a navy blue and white suit with accessories to match.
Upon their return they will reside in Brownhelm.
The bride is a graduate of Brownhelm High School and is employed at the Amherst News Times. Braun attended Amherst schools and is employed at the Western Automatic in Elyria.
