Martha married, 7 Dec 1792 in Columbia Co., GA, John L Griffeth Jr, a son of John L Griffeth Sr and Hannah Anne McElrath. After the death of John, Martha married, James S. Jarrell.

Mother of (by James) Nancy, Willis S, Enoch, Louisiana "Lucy Ann", Stinson Smith and George A. Jarrell.
Note: Nancy Jarrell House, Lucy Ann Hayes, Stinson Smith and George A Jarrell, as well as his wife, Martha, are all heirs listed in the 26 Aug 1835 Last Will and Testament of their father/husband, James S. Jarrell. There was no mention of Willis S or Enoch Jarrell in his Will. James S. Jarrell died 12 Nov. 1836 in Clarke Co., GA. I have not found his burial location, to date.

Martha was enumerated as Head of Household in the 1840 District 224, Clarke Co., GA Census as being 60-70 years of age with one male in the household aged 20-30 years of age. She was also enumerated in the 1850 Dupree's, Clarke Co., GA census as Martha Jarrell, age 99, born in NC with a real estate value of $1500. I believe the age is an entry error and should have been 77. If she was born in 1772, she would have been 77 or 78 at the time of the census. Some family trees shows she was born 24 Nov. 1777. I believe it should be 1772 according to when she 1st married to John L Griffeth in 1792.
