Lucille E. Steak, 91, The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Duncansville, died Friday evening at the Village. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late H. Francis and Esther M. (Kirker) Harshburger. She married Bernard P. Steak, who died March 31, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Paula (Rinker) Hampt and husband, Robert, of Altoona; two sons: Bernard F. "Pete" of Duncansville and Brian G. and wife, Donna, of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren: Paul Steak of New Jersey and Leigh Ann Steak of North Carolina; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Shirley Smart in Oklahoma and Doris Babcock in California. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mildred and Helen; and two brothers: Robert and Harry Francis. Lucille was a homemaker and previously was a crossing guard for the Altoona School District. She was a member of Altoona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Vincent J. Good's Funeral Parlor, 328 Fifth Ave., Altoona, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Altoona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Pastor Charles Stump officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
