McMinnville, Tennessee resident and native of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mary Ruth Parsley Dunlap, age 102, was born July 20, 1913 and died May 22, 2016 at Webb House Retirement Center in McMinnville following a brief illness.
A retired clerk with Walmart and a member of New Bybee Chapel Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Dunlap and Lula Virginia Rains Dunlap.
She was married December 17, 1934 to Elbert Wilson Dunlap who preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Jerri Lynn Burch; her brothers and sisters, Susie Fitzsimmons, Joe Parsley, Horace Parsley, Rena Peterman, Agnes Dalton, Maude Starnes, Virgie Stewart, Sidney Lee Parsley, Gertrude Hart and William Parsley.
She is survived by four children and spouses, Jerry Wilson 'Buddy' and Doris Dunlap,
Betty and Garrell Roberts,
Peggy and Robert W. Jones and
Mary Louise Brents all of Warren County, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Stephanie Dunlap, Suzanne Dunlap, Alisa and Danny Collins, Darrell Roberts, Jim and Dinky West,
Alan and Stacy West, Chris Simmerly, Christine and Mike Moffitt, and
Matthew and Wendy Simmerly;
eighteen great-grandchildren and
four great-great-grandchildren.
A Service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in High's Chapel with Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in New Bybee Chapel Cemetery.
