Funeral services for Agnes E. Durham Wagner will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2002 at Westover Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2002 at Sardis Cemetery - Sardis, LA under the direction of Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines, Iowa.

Mrs. Wagner, age 93 of Urbandale, Iowa died Monday, January 7, 2001 in Iowa Methodist Medical Center from a heart ailment. She was born in Winnfield, LA, and lived in the Des Moines area since 1984. She moved to Des Moines from Natchitoches, LA. Agnes and her late husband, Edward, had lived in Wilton, Iowa for many years before retiring to Natchitoches, LA.

She was a retired public school teacher, a member of Des Moines First Baptist Church and Northwestern State University Alumni Association. Agnes was an avid reader and enjoyed watching sports.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward and one daughter, Joan Engling.

Survivors are three daughters, Martha Schaer of Des Moines, Iowa, Carole Messerschmidt of Baltimore, and Kathleen Muller of Davenport, Iowa; one son, John Wagoner sic Wagner] of Rockville, Maryland; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made the First Baptist Church of Des Moines, Iowa.
