Lillie May Wade, age 90, a resident of 106 S Broadway, Fort Scott, Kansas, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at her home. She was born one of thirteen children, August 11, 1908, in Butler, Missouri, the daughter of John P. and Eva Frances Berry Zinn. She married Cecil C. Wade in 1957. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1983. Mrs. Wade has lived in Bourbon County since 1967. In her earlier years she worked fifteen years for Aaron's Produce in Fort Scott and was employed by Key Work Clothes from 1945 to 1950. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.
Survivors include her granddaughter and care giver, [redacted], of the home; one brother Floyd Zinn, Lake Tahoe, California; three sisters, Leona Fassler, Fort Scott, Darlene [sic] Reardon, Kansas City, Missouri, and Dollie Turner, Bonner Springs, Kansas. Also surviving is a son-in-law, [redacted], Brigantine, New Jersey. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Claudine Gordon; five brothers, Dick, Clarence, Wesley, Howard, and George Zinn; and three sisters Edith Fluty, Dee lewis, and Lucretia Gossett.
