Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with the Rev. Ken Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 22, 1907, in Horry County, S.C., son of George Washington Mills and Orrie Littles Mills. He was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries with more than 30 years of service. Mr. Mills was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Loris, S.C. He was married Oct. 19,1930, to Elma Benton Mills, who preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 1993. He was also preceded in death by three daughters, Jeanette Watts, Lena Hooks and Ann Forrest; one son, David Mills; four sisters, Lola Ward, Susie Ward, Mary Lee and Dora Lee; three brothers, Oscar Mills, Burris Mills and Claude Mills; and one grandson, Franklin Holloman.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Holloman and her husband, Gordon, of Hallsboro, Faye Rowe of Lexington and Patricia Easter and her husband, David, of Lexington; one sister, Amanda Mills Mishoe of High Point; several grandchildren and several great-great- grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday and other times at the home 121 Franklin Drive, Thomasville.
