She was a retired title examiner with the Florida State Division of Motor Vehicles and was a member of Crawfordville United Methodist Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Winnie Davis Chapter of Tallahassee.

She is survived by her son Noah A Jack Council and a sister, Edith Allen.
