ABE BINGAMAN PASSES AWAY
Local Character Dies At County Infirmary
Abraham "Abe" Bingaman, 71, pioneer resident of this city, died Wednesday night at 11:30 in the Cass county Infirmary, Death was caused by heart trouble and dropsy. He had been In falling health for the past three months and his condition had been serious for the past two weeks. He leaves no survivors. The body was removed to the Peirce & Easterday funeral home for burial preparating Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock In Mt. Hope cemetery, followed by Interment. Bingaman has been a local character for many years. He was said to be double-Jointed and the story persisted that big body was sold to a doctor. He was said to have recieved $50 in the transaction but he outlived the purchaser of his remains. His appearance provided him with a livelihood one summer when he went on a circus tour as the "Wild Man of Borneo. Bingarnan lived at Dunkirk for years, subsisting by buying and selling junk . Recently he was taken in at the county infirmary . Several days ago he was adjudged insane but he was too poorly to be removed to Longcliff.
