Prescott, Feb 25--Warner Hoops Allen, presiding elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and moving spirit in the erection of the Mormon churches at Prescott and Chino Valley, died here early yesterday morning.

Mr Allen suffered a stroke of paralysis February 19. He was 65 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Mesa Monday.

Mr Allen came to Mesa in 1880 from Utah. He went to Chino Valley in 1918 and five years later made Prescott his home. The Chino Valley church was completed under his direction in 1921 and the Prescott church in 1928.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Allen; four sons, Harold of Los Angeles, Merle and Joe of Prescott, and Richard, now in Latter Day Saints missionary service in Virginia; two daughters, Miss Bernice, of Prescott, and Mrs Mabel Hanks of Utah.
