"Tildy", Matilda Elmina was a daughter of William Proctor and Elizabeth (Keck) Yadon. She was born 2 Aug 1850 in Tazwell, Claiborne Co., TN. In 1860 the family moved to Laurel Co, KY but by the mid 1860's they were settled in Pulaski Co., KY. It was there she met and married James Henry Colson on 13 Mar 1873. Tildy was the mother of three children; James William, John Lee and Mary Frances "Fannie". She excelled in needle crafts, especially quilting. It has been said that she made the best fried chicken in the county. Matilda's sister, Artimacie (Yadon) Price is also interred in the Danforth Cenetery.
