Sarah Jane Allbee (Jane) is the daughter of Benjamin Allbee and Martha Thompson Shout. July 10, 1829 to April 5, 1919.
During the gold rush, Jane and her husband Matthias Brayton moved their restaurant business to someplace around Lodi, California to feed the gold rush miners. Matthias went by ship with the restaurant equipment around the tip of South America (this was before the Panama Canal). While Jane took the family by way of conastoga wagon. She was a tough woman.
