Funeral services for Mary Lou Schneider, 76 of Lexington, were on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, Texas with Rev. Leif Hasskarl officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Schneider passed away Monday evening at her residence in Lexington.

Marietta Louise Burns "Mary Lou" Schneider was born on February 6, 1933 in Mabank, Texas to Gus & Cora (Chitty) Burns. She was united in marriage to Monroe Edmund Schneider on March 29, 1968 in La Grange, Texas. Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening, playing dominoes, fishing, listening to Gospel & Country music and spending time with her grandchildren. She also volunteered at the Lutheran Braille Center in Giddings.

Mrs. Schneider was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Monroe; her son, Stanley Marvin Churchill; 2 grandsons, Troy Fritsche and Jessie Boriack and 5 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her 6 children, Sharon & Herbert "Otto" Hartfield of Amarillo, Spencer & Carolyn Schneider of Giddings, Mary & Marvin Fritsche of Loebau, Margaret & Alwin Fritsche of Dime Box, Dale & Kimmie Schneider of Fedor and Monroe & Candice Schneider Jr. of Lexington; step-daughter, Connie & Bill Siegmund of Hutto; 19 grandchildren, Johnathan Boriack of Lincoln, Christopher Boriack of Lincoln, Gordon Schneider of Bryan, Brittney Schneider of Giddings, Daniel Fritsche,Timothy Fritsche, and Victoria Fritsche all of Loebau, Robert Fritsche of Giddings, Kevin Fritsche of Caldwell, Angel Muzny of Deanville, Melanie Boriack of Lincoln, Latosha Mikulin of Dime Box, Crystal Scott of Dime Box, Jeremy Schneider of Dime Box, Josh Schneider of Lexington, Julie Schneider of Rockdale, Trenton Schneider of Lexington, Emma Schneider of Lexington and Abigail Schneider of Lexington; 4 step-grandchildren, Callie Zamorsky of Hutto, Ian Zamorsky of Hutto, Claire Siegmund of Hutto and Cody Garza of Fedor; 17 great grandchildren and 3 on the way; 3 sisters, Fannie Howell of Mesquite, Billie Hodges of Alabama and Jackie DeCono of Galveston; 2 brothers, Kenneth Burns of Marshall and Jerry Burns of Georgia as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
