Born July 27, 1915, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Louise Figgins Darr.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Robert Welsh; and by her second husband, Donald Charles Rueffer, in 1973.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va., and the Women's Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Spurlock of Norton, Va. and Martha L. Robert of Bethesda, Md.; a son, Donald Welsh of Fort Pierce, Fla.; a sister, Odis Marie Griffith of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Shenandoah Junction. The Rev. Sandra Slazer will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town.
