Betty Simmons Mills passed away on Friday March 4, 2022, in Midlothian, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Honey Grove, Texas. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Reverend Ray Emery will officiate. Internment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery ,Honey Grove, Texas. Serving pallbearers will be Jason Emery, Kevin Bivins, Sean Bassler, Case Galbraith, Rebekeh Snell, and Kimberly Bassler.
She was born on March 30, 1923, to Jess and Esther (Rogers) Simmons in Bonham,Texas. Betty married Roger Mills on June 8, 1942. Together they raised three daughters. She was a devoted mother and wife. Betty is survived by her daughters Diana Emery and husband Ray of Haysville, KS, Rogena Bassler and husband Mike of Waxahachie, TX, and Sherri Brittingham and husband Brian of Arlington, Tx. Her grandchildren are Jason, Joni, Rebekah, Kevin, Sean, and Case along with eleven great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Esther (Rogers) Simmons and her husband Roger Mills.
